NEO500-2

The Bruker NEO500-2 is located in RHPH G43. It is recently upgraded (Jan. 2024) with a new NEO console with two RF transmit/receive channels, Z-gradient hardware, and variable temperature control with a BCU-II chiller unit. It is equipped with a 5mm VT probe with BBFO configuration. The new hardware provides higher sensitivity than the previous DRX console for all nuclei. The new console has a Linux host computer running TopSpin 4.3.0. The system also includes a 24-position SampleCase. We are running this system under automation using IconNMR, like the NEO300 in WTHR.

We would like to thank Dr. Lance Ballard of Bruker Biospin for his work on the console installation. We would like to acknowledge Purdue's EVPRP Fall 2023 MERI program which provided the funding for this console purchase. We would also like to acknowledge funding obtained from Purdue's 2014-15 Laboratory & University Core Facility Research Equipment Program which allowed us to purchase the 5mm BBFO probe. This probe is still in use with the new system.
