Carl Murphy joined the PINMRF staff in the spring of 2006 as a teaching assistant for the CMX-400 Solids instrument. He is responsible for user training and routine maintenance for this spectrometer. He is also a graduate research assistant in the lab of Dr. Daniel Raftery. His research focuses on the use of NMR for surface studies using hyperpolarized xenon, and for analysis of photocatalysts.
